The Virginia CannaCup Competition is a statewide competition to see who has the best cannabis product. Cannabis growers, cultivators, and brand developers from all around the Commonwealth can submit their products into this competition.
All pre-packages and sealed submissions are then packaged by Virginia Cannabis Connections Inc. into assorted Judging Kits.
These judge’s kits are then shared across the state for consumers to test and judge each product inside of their kit.

Virginia Senate approved Senate Bill 391 in a historic bipartisan vote to regulate the retail sale of cannabis to adults 21 and older. Sales could begin as early as September 15, 2022
With retail sales pending this year, wholesalers and retailers are going to want to know who are the best growers in the state and who offers the best product. The Virginia CannaCup Competition will award cash prizes to contestants for the best cannabis in several categories including:
- Best Indica in VA
- Best Sativa in VA
- Best Hybrid in VA
- Best Overall Cannabis in VA
All submission have to be grown in Virginia to comply with Virginia Laws. Entries must be submitted in accordance with the rules and regulations set forth by Virginia Cannabis Connections Inc. which include proper documentation, packaging and submission time.
ENTRY PERIOD
The entry period for growers to participate is now open. Your sealed packets of raw cannabis products will be included in a CannaConnect Judging Kit and disbursed to each judge for judging purposes.

The Virginia CannaCup Competition Judge Kits will contain assortments of Cannabis products from Virginia Cannabis growers who have submitted entries into the competition, all contained inside of a CannaConnect box that is 12”x18”x4” in dimensions.
There will be sealed packets of raw cannabis product items in each kit for judging purposes. Each kit will also include courtesy samples of THC Delta-8 and CDD products provided by various sponsors. *Note some of these products may provide positive drug test results. You MUST BE 21 or older to participate as a CannaCup judge.

Within each Kit, you will receive a Judge’s Access Card which provides access to CannaFest 2.
All items must be judged by the deadline.

The Virginia CannaCup is currently accepting pre-registration for products from growers throughout the Virginia area.
How Do I get my CannaCup Judges Kit?

Judge Kits will be shipped out within 24 or completed orders
Judge Kits will be shipped to a valid US address only. There is no pickup option.
Judges must complete judging for all products in their Kits.
How do I become a CannaCup Competition judge?
Judge Kits will be sold online until they are sold out. Anyone who is interested in becoming a judge may do so by pre-ordering. If you purchase a Judge Kit, you MUST test and submit scores and comments for all products. All of your feedback is important and is anonymously sent to the growers who submitted their products.

Is admission to CannaFest 2 included?
Each CannaCup Judge Kit comes with a Judges Access Pass which gives you admission to the event and VIP access to the CannaCup Hospitality Tent.
